The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulates civil aviation in Papua New Guinea. This includes enforcement of industry rules, monitoring of safety and security as well as adherence to aviation standards.
To achieve this objective, CASA's activities range from production of safety publications through to air accident investigation. CASA's powers also include the ability to enforce rules relating to pilots, engineers, aircraft and aerodrome operators set by the Minister of Transport.

follow to keep aviation safe and secure. We check that these rules are being complied with and have the power to take action if they are not.
Operations

CASA's operates across a range of areas within the aviation sector. Activities include aviation security, air traffic and navigation, aerodromes and safety management.
Airworthiness
CASA undertakes a number of monitoring and industry supervision activities. These include maintaining an aircraft registration database, accident and incident reporting and directive/advisory issue.
Services
CASA provides a range of regulatory services to industry and the public. These include licensing and corporate services activities.
