Percy Sukbat is the Executive Manager of Aviation Facilities at CASAPNG. In this capacity, he leads the Aviation Facilities Division, providing strategic oversight for three vital regulatory inspectorate branches:

·       Aerodromes & Grounds Aids (AGA)

·       Air Navigation Services (ANS)

·       Aviation Security (SEC)

Mr. Sukbat has nearly two decades of experience in engineering and aviation safety regulation. He has held progressively senior roles within PNG’s leading aviation authorities:

  •            ·      Executive Manager Aviation Facilities, CASAPNG: 2024 – Current
  •            ·      Senior Aerodrome Inspector, CASAPNG: 2016 – 2024
  •            ·      Aerodrome Inspector, CASAPNG: 2012 – 2016
  •            ·      Project Engineer, National Airports Corporation (NAC): 2009 – 2012
  •            ·      Airport Engineer & Assistant Airport Engineer, CAA: 2007 – 2009
  •            ·      Accreditation Officer, National Institute of Standards: 2006 – 2007

A registered professional engineer, Mr. Sukbat holds high-level technical qualifications in civil and airport engineering:

  •             ·  Bachelor in Civil Engineering
  •             ·  Diploma in Airport Engineering
  •             ·  Registered Engineer (No. 1953)-PNG Institute of Engineers

Through his extensive background in both project engineering and regulatory surveillance, Mr. Sukbat ensures that Papua New Guinea’s aviation infrastructure and security protocols align with international safety standards.
